以前自己玩的时候几乎没做过性能测试，因此对于测试工具也是从来没有接触过。

Intersil 公司出的 PRISM Benchmark Pro （PRISM BP） 是一款网络基准测试工具。PRISM BP 使用 Windows Explorer 传输文件时所使用的 DLL 调用。在其手册文档中，下面一段话很中肯：

Benchmarking is a tricky process. Obtaining reproducible results is difficult in even a wired network. The unknown variables in the Wireless Networking model, such as jamming interference, multi-path interference, etc, makes reliable and repeatable benchmarking of a Wireless Network very difficult.

对了，这好像是针对无线网络的工具，但是公司拿它广泛的测试各种网络。

在文档手册的后面还提到了 Intersil QA 部门测试的通常做法： 使用一个 10M 的文件，重复 push/pull 50 次。

除了知道 PRISM 是无线方面的术语外，对于这个软件的其他方面（Intersil，和同类产品精确度的对比，使用的广泛程度…）一无所知。
